Statement

 

My work revolves around the material possibilities of painting, to create a language, in abstract terms, and in relation to a dialogue between colour, texture and the pictorial space itself, which expands and transforms throughout a corporeal and gestural process. Constructing a material reality, instead of representing it, and thus blurring the boundaries between painting and sculpture.

 

Everything happens from a vibration between opposites; the meditated and the intuitive, doing and not-doing, the material and the immaterial, the physical and the emotional, the empty and the full, intentional and chance. To possibly reach a dreamed, recreated and sometimes forgotten place. A kind of silence. A timeless space, which slows down or even stops for an instant, the constant and fleeting movement of our own existence. The terrain where one moves to the heat of the deepest joy, immersed in a kind of powerful, visceral and spiritual trance.

I am interested in presenting a tangible, profound and genuinely human experience, beyond the ephemeral and dizzying virtuality of a digital world, that increasingly absorbs our own daily lives.
