Bio
Pablo Carpio (Madrid, 1979) vive y trabaja actualmente en Madrid. Ha vivido durante años en Nueva York, donde desarrolla parte de su carrera, y en otras ciudades como Berlín, Buenos Aires y Ciudad de México. Su trabajo explora las posibilidades materiales de la pintura y su capacidad de transformación, para desarrollar un lenguaje, en términos abstractos, que transciende la bidimensionalidad del medio, cuestionando a su vez sus propios límites.
Fue seleccionado para formar parte del programa para artistas internacionales (IAP) de la New York Foundation for the Arts (2013). Sus obras han sido expuestas a nivel nacional e internacional en espacios como: New York Foundation for the Arts (Nueva York, 2013), Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation (Nueva York, 2013), Waterfall Mansion & Gallery (Nueva York, 2014), la 3ª Edición de la Bienal de Artes Visuales Areatec (Buenos Aires, 2014), Petit Palace Savoy Alfonso XII (Madrid, 2016), 80 Exposición Internacional Artes Plásticas Valdepeñas (2019), Deji Art Museum (Nanjing, China, 2021), Paul Smith Store & Gallery (Londres, 2022), Cerquone Gallery (Caracas, 2021 Madrid, 2019, 2022) o Palau de Casavells (Girona, 2022). Fue preseleccionado en la 36ª edición del Premio BMW de Pintura. Sus obras se pueden encontrar en colecciones privadas e instituciones a nivel internacional.
